Brewers and Rays Set to Compete in World Series
The Milwaukee Brewers and Tampa Bay Rays are set to meet in the World Series, with Game 1 taking place on Friday at 7 pm CT. Jacob Misiorowski will start for the Brewers, while the Rays have yet to announce their starting pitcher.
The Brewers enter the series after a swift four-game sweep of the Dodgers in the NLCS, concluding on October 15. They secured home field advantage with a regular season record of 103 wins. Misiorowski will have a significant rest period of twelve days before his start.
The Rays, on the other hand, advanced past the Guardians in the ALCS, winning the series in six games after overcoming a 2-1 deficit. The series ended on October 19, and Drew Rasmussen is expected to pitch for Tampa Bay, potentially starting in Game 2 for additional rest. This World Series will guarantee a first-time champion, as both teams have never won a title before.
