Brewers Assign Carlos Rodriguez and Thomas Pannone to Triple-A Nashville

The Milwaukee Brewers have assigned pitchers Carlos Rodriguez and Thomas Pannone to Triple-A Nashville following their designation for assignment. This move allows the team to retain both players as depth options within the organization.

Pannone, who has the option to elect free agency, was removed from the major league roster to make room for DL Hall, who returned from the injured list. Rodriguez, on the other hand, lost his spot on the 40-man roster during a post-deadline shuffle that included the addition of new players Dustin May, JoJo Romero, and Antonio Senzatela.

Rodriguez, 24, was once considered a promising pitching prospect for the Brewers but has struggled this season, posting an 8.35 ERA over 36 2/3 innings. Pannone, 32, made a brief appearance in the majors, allowing two runs in three innings during his first game since 2023, while maintaining a 4.13 ERA in 72 innings at Triple-A Nashville.
