Brewers Assign Lyon Richardson to Triple-A Nashville
The Milwaukee Brewers have assigned right-handed pitcher Lyon Richardson to Triple-A Nashville after he cleared waivers. This move follows his designation for assignment earlier this month.
Richardson, 26, was originally selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the second round of the 2018 draft. He made his major league debut a few years ago but has struggled to maintain a consistent spot on the roster. After clearing waivers in the offseason, he signed with the Brewers and made one appearance, pitching 1 2/3 innings without allowing any runs before being designated for assignment again.
While Richardson has had limited success in the majors, with a career earned run average of 6.48 over 58 1/3 innings, he has shown better performance in the minors. Since becoming a primary reliever in 2025, he has recorded a 4.39 ERA over 92 1/3 innings in Triple-A.
