Antonio Senzatela and Trevor Megill helped maintain the lead, with Megill earning his 24th save despite a late rally from Atlanta.

Contreras had a notable game with four hits, while Atlanta's Ronald Acuna Jr. was struck out by Megill to end the game. Chris Sale, pitching for Atlanta, allowed two runs on eight hits over six innings, striking out six without any walks. The Braves have now lost four of their last five games.
