Brewers Lead NLCS 2-0 After Victory Over Dodgers
The Milwaukee Brewers have taken a 2-0 lead in the National League Championship Series (NLCS) after defeating the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 2. This marks the first time the Brewers have led a seven-game series by two games.
Catcher William Contreras was instrumental in the victory, contributing significantly to the team's offense. He tied the game with an RBI single in the first inning, hit a solo home run in the fifth, and then put the Brewers ahead with another RBI single in the sixth. This performance marked Contreras' second three-hit game of the postseason.
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Guardians also had a strong showing, winning Game 1 against the Tampa Bay Rays. Catcher Patrick Bailey hit a solo home run and helped the Guardians score five runs late in the game to secure the win. The series will continue with Tampa Bay's Freddy Peralta set to pitch against Cleveland's Parker Messick.
