Brewers to Compete Against Dodgers Without Christian Yelich in NLCS Game 1

Christian Yelich will not be part of the Brewers' lineup for Game 1 of the National League Championship Series against the Dodgers.

The Brewers have chosen to utilize a platoon strategy against Dodgers pitcher Tarik Skubal, with Yelich potentially available as a pinch hitter. Brewers manager Pat Murphy emphasized the decision was made with the team's best interests in mind, considering matchups and performance history.

Historically, the Brewers and Dodgers have met four times in the last nine postseasons, with the Dodgers winning each series. Milwaukee is hopeful for a different outcome this October. Yelich, a Southern California native and former MVP, has spent most of his career with the Brewers, where he has achieved significant accolades.
