Brewers' Trade Offer for Tarik Skubal Revealed
The Milwaukee Brewers, after a successful season culminating in a World Series victory, attempted to acquire pitcher Tarik Skubal from the Detroit Tigers before the MLB trade deadline. Skubal, however, was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers instead.
The Brewers proposed a trade that included infield prospects Luis Peña and Jett Williams, along with outfielder Josh Adamczewski. The Tigers, seeking a more substantial offer, requested a top position player prospect and a starting pitcher, specifically targeting Brewers right-hander Logan Henderson, which Milwaukee declined.
Ultimately, the Tigers traded Skubal to the Dodgers for outfielder Zyhir Hope and two right-handed pitchers, River Ryan and Brady Smith. Skubal performed well for the Dodgers, achieving a 2.61 ERA during the regular season and a strong postseason showing against the Brewers.
