Brexton Busch Honors Father with Burnouts at NASCAR Tribute
Brexton Busch, the 11-year-old son of NASCAR driver Kyle Busch, drove his father's No. 8 car at Charlotte Motor Speedway over the weekend, performing burnouts in a tribute to his late father.
The event, part of a Celebration of Life for Kyle Busch, featured family and friends sharing memories of the two-time Cup Series champion. Brexton made a memorable entrance by driving the Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet, completing burnouts before climbing atop the car and mimicking his father's signature bow.
A video released by the Busch family details the preparation leading up to the event, which began on September 2. Brexton received guidance from NASCAR driver Austin Dillon, who helped him learn how to handle the car and perform the burnouts. Despite a few challenges, including stalling the car during the performance, Brexton successfully honored his father's legacy in front of a cheering crowd.
