Brexton Busch Honors Late Father with Burnouts at Charlotte Event
Brexton Busch paid tribute to his late father, Kyle Busch, during a celebration of life event at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Friday. The 11-year-old drove the No. 8 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet in front of over 10,000 fans, performing burnouts until the tires went flat.
After the burnouts, Brexton climbed onto the car's roof to acknowledge the crowd. His younger sister, Lennix, presented him with a checkered flag, which he waved while bowing, mimicking his father's signature victory celebration.
Kyle Busch passed away on May 21 at the age of 41 due to complications from severe bacterial pneumonia and sepsis. The event featured remarks from family and friends, including Kyle's brother Kurt and his widow, Samantha Busch, who reflected on his legacy and impact on racing.
