Brian Cashman Set to Return as Yankees GM for 30th Season

Brian Cashman, the general manager of the New York Yankees, is expected to return for his 30th season in 2027, according to a report from the New York Post.

Cashman's current contract is set to expire, but club owner Hal Steinbrenner reportedly has no plans to let him go. Cashman, who began his tenure at the age of 31, has overseen a successful period for the team, which includes four World Series titles and 15 AL East championships.

Throughout his nearly three-decade career, the Yankees have only missed the postseason five times. As the team prepares for the playoffs, Cashman and Steinbrenner will also need to address the future of manager Aaron Boone, who has yet to secure a World Series title for the franchise since 2009.
