Brighton Rejects Liverpool's £60m Bid for Yankuba Minteh
Brighton & Hove Albion has declined a £60m bid from Liverpool for winger Yankuba Minteh, following a previous unsuccessful offer of £50m from the Reds. The proposal did not align with Brighton's valuation of the 22-year-old player, who is expected to be unavailable until October due to injury.
In addition to Minteh's situation, Brighton is also managing the absence of Kaoru Mitoma, who has been out since May with a hamstring injury. The club is in discussions with Manchester United regarding the potential sale of Carlos Baleba, with reports suggesting a deal could exceed £60m.
Liverpool is actively seeking to strengthen their squad in wide positions, having already signed Victor Munoz from Osasuna. The club is exploring various options, including Minteh and Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain, although PSG's £145m asking price presents a challenge for Liverpool.
