Brighton Rejects Liverpool's Bids for Yankuba Minteh

Brighton & Hove Albion's manager Fabian Hurzeler has indicated that Yankuba Minteh may still have the opportunity to realize his dream transfer after the club rejected multiple offers from Liverpool during the transfer window.

Liverpool's bids of £50 million and £60 million for the winger were turned down, as Brighton reportedly sought around £70 million for the 22-year-old Gambian international. Minteh, who joined Brighton from Newcastle for £30 million in 2024, has made 73 appearances for the club, scoring 10 goals and providing nine assists.

Hurzeler emphasized Minteh's commitment to Brighton, stating that the player has been an integral part of the team for two years. He also mentioned that individual success can come from the team's overall achievements. Despite Minteh remaining at Brighton, the club successfully generated funds through player sales, including Carlos Baleba's £70 million transfer to Manchester United, and completed the signing of Spanish midfielder Chema Andres for £15.5 million.
