Brighton Secures Femi Azeez from Millwall for £15m
Brighton has reached an agreement to sign 25-year-old Nigerian winger Femi Azeez from Millwall. Azeez, who scored 11 goals and provided eight assists in 37 matches last season, was recognized in the PFA Championship team of the year.
Millwall rejected multiple bids from Brighton before agreeing to a deal that will see the club receive an initial £12.5m, with the total potentially exceeding £15m due to performance-related add-ons. This transfer would mark a record sale for Millwall.
Azeez, who joined Millwall from Reading in 2024 for around £1m, is now in the final two years of his contract. He had been omitted from the last three matchday squads by Millwall's manager, Alex Neil. Brighton's acquisition of Azeez will be their 11th signing this summer.
