
Brighton Signs Promise David on Loan from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise
Brighton has acquired Canadian striker Promise David from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise on a season-long loan, which includes an obligation to purchase for a reported fee of £22 million.
The 25-year-old player has made 82 appearances for the Belgian club, scoring 41 goals and providing nine assists since joining in 2024. David previously played in various leagues, including stints in Croatia, the United States, and Malta, before moving to Royale Union Saint-Gilloise.
David participated as a substitute in four of Canada's five World Cup matches, scoring during a group stage loss to Switzerland. Brighton's sporting director expressed enthusiasm about David's potential contributions, citing his physical attributes and goal-scoring history as key factors for the upcoming season.
