Brisbane Lions Players Fined for Staging, Crows Defender Suspended
Brisbane Lions players Dayne Zorko and Cameron Rayner have been fined for staging incidents during their recent match against the Adelaide Crows. The Match Review Officer imposed a $1500 fine on Zorko for an incident in the first quarter, while Rayner, a repeat offender, received a $3125 fine for a third-quarter incident.
Additionally, Crows defender Max Michalanney has been suspended for one match due to a strike on Lion Charlie Cameron in the first term. This suspension could delay Michalanney's start to the 2027 season if he does not successfully contest the charge at the Tribunal.
The Lions won the match decisively and will advance to a preliminary final against Hawthorn at the MCG on Saturday evening.
