Bristol Bears Sign Harry Wells on Short-Term Deal
Bristol Bears have announced the signing of Harry Wells, a former lock for Leicester Tigers, on a short-term contract lasting three months.
The 32-year-old player, who has over a decade of experience with the Tigers, was part of the team that won the Premiership title in 2022 and the Prem Rugby Cup last season. Wells has made 236 appearances for Leicester and joins the Bears from Oundle, a fourth-tier club.
Bears director of rugby Pat Lam emphasized the need to enhance their back five options due to ongoing injuries to players like Josh Caulfield, Bill Mata, and Khalik Kareem. Lam noted Wells' hard-working nature and valuable experience as key assets for the team during his tenure.
