British Grand Prix Secured on MotoGP Calendar Until 2028
The British Grand Prix will remain on the MotoGP World Championship calendar through at least 2028, as Silverstone has extended its partnership with MotoGP for the 2027 and 2028 seasons.
The event returned to Silverstone in 2010 after a 24-year hiatus, having previously been held at Donington Park. The upcoming race is scheduled for Sunday, 9 August, as part of the 2026 MotoGP calendar.
Marco Bezzecchi, who is currently fourth in the MotoGP standings, won the race at Silverstone last season. Silverstone is also known for hosting Formula 1 and the European Le Mans Series, and it will rejoin the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2027. The CEO of Silverstone emphasized the venue's commitment to two-wheel racing, while the CEO of MotoGP Group highlighted the UK's significant motorcycle racing heritage.
