Broc Feeney Clinches Sprint Cup Title with Victory at Queensland Raceway
Broc Feeney achieved a remarkable victory in the third race of the Supercars weekend at Queensland Raceway, which earned him the Sprint Cup title. This win followed his success on Saturday, marking a significant moment in his racing career.
Starting from the second position on the grid, Feeney quickly took the lead from Will Brown and extended it to three seconds by the time the first pit stops occurred. Despite appearing to have the race under control, the title seemed destined for Matt Payne, who was in fifth place until his engine failure forced him to retire.
Feeney ultimately crossed the finish line 1.45 seconds ahead of Brodie Kostecki, who faced challenges with traffic and steering issues. Will Brown finished third, while James Golding and Anton De Pasquale rounded out the top five. With this victory, Feeney regained the championship points lead, now 30 points ahead of Payne, as the series prepares for its next endurance race in South Australia.
