Broncos Consider Signing Taysom Hill to Reunite with Sean Payton
Taysom Hill, known for his versatility in the NFL, has announced he will not return to the New Orleans Saints and is exploring opportunities with other teams. This development has led to speculation about a potential reunion with Sean Payton, his former coach, in Denver.
Hill, 35, began his NFL career as an undrafted free agent from BYU and gained prominence under Payton's guidance in New Orleans from 2017 to 2021. During that time, he accumulated 1,183 rushing yards, 16 rushing touchdowns, and 2,025 passing yards, showcasing his skills as a quarterback, receiver, and tight end.
While Bo Nix is the starting quarterback for the Broncos, adding Hill could alleviate some pressure in run situations, especially as Nix recovers from a previous injury. Hill's addition could also enhance the tight end position, which struggled with scoring last season.
