Broncos Defensive Lineman Matt Henningsen Suffers Torn Achilles
Matt Henningsen, a defensive lineman for the Denver Broncos, has been diagnosed with a torn Achilles after being carted off the field during practice on Friday. This injury occurs exactly one year after he suffered a similar injury to his other Achilles during a joint practice with the San Francisco 49ers.
As a result of this injury, Henningsen will miss a second consecutive season. He was selected by the Broncos in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft and participated in every game during his first two seasons. Last year, he spent the entire season on injured reserve after being on the practice squad in 2024.
In addition to Henningsen's injury, wide receiver Marvin Mims also left practice early, although reports suggest that his injury may not be serious. Tight end Nate Adkins similarly exited practice prematurely.
