Broncos Sign OLB Ron Stone Jr., Release WR Hakeem Butler

The Denver Broncos have finalized an agreement with outside linebacker Ron Stone Jr., as reported by Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post.

This decision coincides with the release of wide receiver Hakeem Butler from the team.

Both players participated in the UFL this past spring, where Stone achieved 5.5 sacks and five tackles for loss with the Columbus Aviators, and previously recorded 3.5 sacks and four tackles for loss while playing for the Michigan Panthers in 2025. Stone, who is 26 years old, initially signed with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent in 2024 but was waived due to an injury designation during roster cuts.
