Brooke Henderson Joins Detroit Team for Inaugural WTGL Season
Brooke Henderson from Canada is set to represent the Motor City Golf Club in the inaugural season of the WTGL, with all five team rosters officially announced on Monday.
Joining Henderson on the Detroit team are world No. 2 Jeeno Thitikul, Swiss Olympian Albane Valenzuela, American golfer Lexi Thompson, and former world No. 1 Ruoning Yin, who recently won the FM Championship. The WTGL is a new golf platform co-founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, and it will commence its first season after the LPGA Tour concludes in November.
The Motor City Golf Club, which was introduced as TGL's first expansion team in May 2025, also recently announced Brooks Koepka as its first male team member. The competition will take place at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, featuring a round-robin format leading to playoffs. A total of 25 players from 13 countries will participate, although world No. 1 Nelly Korda will not be among them.
