Brooks Rogowski's Journey as a Canucks Prospect

Brooks Rogowski, an 18-year-old center and Vancouver Canucks draft pick, is beginning his journey in professional hockey after dedicating himself to the sport just two and a half years ago. He made his debut in a prospects game against the Seattle Kraken in Abbotsford, B.C.

Rogowski, who previously played baseball, was drafted 33rd overall by the Canucks in June after a notable rise in his hockey career. He played for the Oshawa Generals in the OHL, where he recorded 15 goals and 42 points in 46 games last season. His father, Casey Rogowski, a former minor league baseball player, has influenced his understanding of the challenges in professional sports.

Despite his late start in hockey, Rogowski has shown significant potential, with Canucks' director of player development noting his athleticism and room for growth. He recently excelled at the 2026 World Junior showcase, contributing to Team USA's success. Rogowski plans to continue developing his skills in junior hockey before transitioning to Michigan State University in 2027.
