Browns Coach Todd Monken Cuts Practice Short After Player Contact Issues
Browns head coach Todd Monken terminated a training camp practice prematurely on Tuesday, citing frustration over excessive contact from defensive players.
Monken ended the session more than ten minutes early after a series of incidents, including dismissing defensive end Benton Whitley for hitting quarterback Shedeur Sanders and defensive tackle Adin Huntington for a tackle on running back Quinshon Judkins. The situation escalated when defensive end Jared Verse knocked the Guardian cap off Judkins' helmet, prompting Monken to express his displeasure with the team.
The Browns are scheduled for a joint practice with the Bills on Thursday, where Monken aims to maintain a calmer atmosphere.
