After the preseason finale, Monken noted that the team cannot retain all players and is still deliberating on the bottom of the depth chart. He expressed admiration for both Gabriel and Green, highlighting Gabriel's experience and performance, including a strong showing against the Patriots, where he achieved a passer rating of 157.9 with three touchdowns. Green also impressed with his ability to make plays.
The Browns are considering their options, including the possibility of trading Gabriel, with Atlanta being a potential destination. The team must finalize its roster decisions soon, as the deadline to reach 53 players is approaching rapidly.
