Browns Coach Todd Monken Discusses Tight End Harold Fannin Jr.'s Struggles
The Cleveland Browns are currently 4-2 in the 2026 NFL season, with their defense playing a crucial role in their success. Despite the absence of star EDGE Myles Garrett, the Browns maintain a top 10 ranking in scoring defense and passing yards allowed.
However, the offense has faced challenges, averaging only 17.7 points and 173.5 passing yards per game. Tight end Harold Fannin Jr. has seen a significant drop in production, recording just two catches for 13 yards in the last two games and only 40 yards over the past three games. This is a stark contrast to his rookie season, where he had 72 catches for 731 yards and six touchdowns.
Coach Todd Monken acknowledged Fannin's struggles, attributing them to broader issues within the passing game. He emphasized the need for improved consistency in their offensive play, stating that better execution would lead to increased production from key players like Fannin. Monken highlighted the importance of getting the ball to young playmakers, including Fannin, Denzel Boston, and KC Concepcion, as the Browns aim to enhance their offensive performance moving forward.
