Browns QB Dillon Gabriel's Activation Window Closes Soon
Dillon Gabriel, the quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, has a deadline of October 27 to be activated from injured reserve after being designated to return earlier this month.
If he is not activated within this 21-day period, he will remain on injured reserve for the remainder of the season. Gabriel has been sidelined due to a back injury incurred during training camp, leading to his placement on the injured list after the preseason.
The 25-year-old quarterback, originally from Hawaii, had a notable college career, starting at UCF before transferring to Oklahoma and then Oregon. He achieved multiple accolades, including first-team All-American honors in 2024, and holds the record for the most career starts in college football history with 63. The Browns selected him in the third round of the 2025 draft, and he signed a four-year rookie contract.
