Browns Waive Defensive Players Jamil Muhammad and Jeremiah McClendon
The Cleveland Browns have decided to waive outside linebacker Jamil Muhammad and cornerback Jeremiah McClendon as part of their roster adjustments.
Jamil Muhammad, 25, had shown notable performance during training camp and may be considered for a spot on the Browns' practice squad. He began his college football journey at Georgia State before transferring to USC, where he played for two seasons. After going undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft, he signed with the Rams but was waived after the preseason. He later joined the Panthers' practice squad before signing with the Browns earlier this month.
Throughout his five years in college football, Muhammad accumulated 143 total tackles, 23 tackles for loss, 15 sacks, five forced fumbles, two recoveries, one interception, and four pass deflections across 60 games.
