
Bruno Fernandes Named PFA Player of the Year for 2025/26 Season
Bruno Fernandes, captain of Manchester United, has been recognized as the men's PFA Players' Player of the Year for the 2025/26 season. Meanwhile, Bunny Shaw from Manchester City has won the women's award for the second consecutive time.
During the season, Fernandes achieved a record-breaking 21 assists in the Premier League, surpassing legends Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne. He also scored nine goals, contributing to United's third-place finish in the league and securing a return to the Champions League.
Shaw, who previously won the award in the 2023-24 season, scored 21 goals this season, earning her a third consecutive Golden Boot and her first Women's Super League title. Additionally, Arsenal's Olivia Smith and Manchester City's Nico O'Reilly were named the women's and men's Young Players of the Year, respectively.
