Bryson Stott Exits Game Early Due to Foot Injury
Bryson Stott, who was playing second base for the Philadelphia Phillies, exited the game on Sunday after suffering a bruised right foot in the top of the eighth inning.
The injury occurred when Stott fouled a pitch off his foot during the bottom of the sixth. After being evaluated by the team's head athletic trainer, he continued playing for another inning before being substituted by Luis Arraez, who had previously been sidelined due to cramping.
Stott has been a key player for the Phillies, maintaining a batting average of .259 and an OPS of .743 in 2026. He has not missed any games due to injury since his major league debut in 2022, despite previously dealing with a nerve issue in his elbow.
