Buccaneers Secure Comeback Victory Over Chiefs in Pre-Season Match
TAMPA, Fla. — The Tampa Bay Buccaneers achieved a comeback victory against the Kansas City Chiefs, winning 16-15 in a pre-season game on Saturday night, thanks to rookie Jalon Daniels.
Daniels directed three scoring drives in the second half, including a 2-yard touchdown pass to Ko Kieft and a 1-yard touchdown run by Sean Tucker. B.T. Potter also contributed with a 46-yard field goal. The Buccaneers had been trailing 9-0 at halftime.
For the Chiefs, Harrison Butker kicked three field goals, including a notable 69-yarder just before halftime. However, his performance was marred by a missed extra point and a failed 43-yard field goal attempt late in the game. Baker Mayfield started for the Buccaneers, completing 2 of 4 passes for 10 yards before being replaced. The Chiefs will conclude their pre-season at home against the Seattle Seahawks next Friday.
