Byron Buxton Placed on 10-Day Injured List Due to Hip Impingement
The Minnesota Twins have announced that center fielder Byron Buxton is being placed on the 10-day injured list due to a right hip impingement. This marks the third time this season that Buxton has been sidelined, all due to hip-related issues.
Buxton has not participated in games since leaving last Tuesday's match early due to hip discomfort. Previously, he missed two weeks in mid-July for a right hip strain and another two weeks in early August for an earlier impingement. In response to the ongoing issues, general manager Jeremy Zoll mentioned that offseason hip surgery is a possibility for Buxton to address the recurring problem. The duration of his current absence remains uncertain, as does the potential impact on any future surgical plans.
