Byron Buxton Returns to Twins' Roster for Field of Dreams Game

Byron Buxton has been activated from the injured list by the Minnesota Twins ahead of the Field of Dreams game in Iowa. The outfielder, who has been sidelined since July 28 due to a right hip injury, is set to return to the active roster for the event.

Buxton previously played in Iowa as a member of the Cedar Rapids Kernels in 2013. The Twins will not need to make a roster move to accommodate his return for this game, as both the Twins and the Philadelphia Phillies are allowed an extra player for the event. Additionally, Buxton will receive a $20,000 bonus for being on the active roster, as agreed upon in the collective bargaining agreement.
