Cadillac Appoints Marcin Budkowski as New Team Principal

Cadillac has appointed Marcin Budkowski as its new team principal, succeeding Graeme Lowdon, who was informed of the decision on Wednesday morning. Lowdon, who played a crucial role in establishing the American team for its Formula 1 debut this year, has been replaced as part of a strategic shift for the team.

Cadillac's CEO, Dan Towriss, stated that the change was not directly linked to the team's recent technical issues, including overheating brakes, but rather a need for a clear vision for the future. Budkowski, who has extensive experience in Formula 1, previously worked with teams such as Renault and McLaren and will focus on enhancing car development and building a competitive organization.

Despite having an experienced driver lineup, Cadillac has yet to score points in the first 11 races of the season. The team operates from multiple locations, including a future headquarters in Fishers, Indiana, while maintaining a base in the UK.
