Cadillac Formula 1 Team Prepares for Italian Grand Prix at Monza
The Cadillac Formula 1 Team is set to compete at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza for the Italian Grand Prix, which is part of the 2026 FIA Formula One World Championship. This event is notable as it has been a staple of the Formula 1 calendar since 1950, alongside the British Grand Prix.
Monza, known as La Pista Magica or the Temple of Speed, has hosted nearly all of the 76 Italian Grands Prix, making it the most frequented circuit in the sport's history. The track is famous for its high-speed layout, which demands excellent braking performance and traction.
Colton Herta will step in for Checo Pérez during the first Free Practice session, marking his third session of the season. Herta has prior experience at Monza from his time in the Euroformula Series. Pérez, who has raced at Monza 14 times, expressed excitement about returning to the circuit, while Valtteri Bottas, who has enjoyed success there, looks forward to the challenges Monza presents.
