Cadillac Formula 1 Team Prepares for Mexico City Grand Prix
The Cadillac Formula 1 Team is set to participate in the Mexico City Grand Prix, following the recent US Grand Prix at COTA. This event, part of the 2026 FIA Formula One World Championship, will take place at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez.
The Mexico City Grand Prix has a rich history, having been a season finale in the 1960s and returning to the calendar in 2015 after a long absence. The circuit, located at a high altitude of 2,240 meters, presents unique challenges such as reduced air density affecting engine performance and cooling.
Checo Pérez will mark his 300th Grand Prix at this race, and the team will hold a public show run in Mexico City to celebrate. Both Pérez and Valtteri Bottas have significant experience at this circuit, with Pérez having scored points in six of his nine previous races there. Colton Herta will also participate in his fifth Free Practice 1 session with the team, driving Bottas's car.
