Cadillac Refutes Sale Rumors Amid Team Changes
Cadillac has swiftly dismissed rumors regarding the potential sale of its Formula 1 project, coinciding with calls for internal changes from drivers Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas at Zandvoort.
The speculation arose amid scrutiny of TWG Global founder Mark Walter, whose business dealings are under investigation by US federal prosecutors. A spokesperson confirmed during a media session that neither Cadillac nor any part of TWG Motorsport is for sale.
New team principal Marcin Budkowski expressed confidence that the situation would not impact their operations, emphasizing the commitment to the project. Both drivers acknowledged the need for changes within the team, with Bottas noting the challenges faced and praising the previous team principal, Graeme Lowdon, for his contributions. Meanwhile, Perez reaffirmed his commitment to Cadillac, viewing it as a long-term project.
