Cadillac to Make Minor Adjustments for 2027 Racing Season
Cadillac has announced that it will not introduce additional evo upgrades for its LMDh prototype in the 2027 World Endurance Championship and IMSA SportsCar Championship. This decision comes after the brand made significant updates in the previous two seasons.
The Cadillac V-Series.R, which debuted in 2023, has already undergone two major revisions, focusing on electronics and aerodynamics. Although Cadillac has utilized three of its five allocated evo jokers, team principal Sam Hignett confirmed that no further major upgrades are planned for 2027, though minor refinements will be made for safety and reliability.
Despite the lack of major changes, Cadillac has had a successful year in 2026, winning the GTP manufacturers' title in the IMSA SportsCar Championship and achieving notable results in the WEC. However, competition is expected to increase next year with new entrants and upgrades from rival teams.
