Cadillac's Brake Issues Persist in Singapore GP
Valtteri Bottas encountered persistent brake problems with Cadillac during the Singapore Grand Prix, despite his earlier optimism that these issues were resolved.
The MAC-26 has suffered from brake overheating throughout the season, leading to multiple retirements and performance losses. Although upgrades were introduced in Hungary and Azerbaijan, which reportedly reduced brake temperatures, Bottas still had to manage the brakes during the race in Singapore, particularly needing to lift and coast early on.
Despite finishing the race with both cars, Bottas expressed frustration over his lack of pace, noting a significant time deficit compared to his teammate. He acknowledged the challenges ahead for the upcoming United States Grand Prix, while teammate Sergio Perez highlighted the team's operational strengths despite their performance gap.
