Cagliari striker Yael Trepy is currently in intensive care after an incident in a swimming pool in Sardinia, where he reportedly lost consciousness.

The 20-year-old player was airlifted to Santissima Annunziata Civil Hospital in Sassari following the incident that occurred at a villa on Sunday afternoon. Cagliari released a statement confirming they are in constant communication with the healthcare facility and Trepy's family, emphasizing their concern for his well-being.

Trepy, who joined Cagliari's youth ranks in 2022, had recently participated in a match against Arezzo in the Coppa Italia, where he played for 54 minutes. He scored once in eight Serie A appearances last season and previously began his youth career with US Creteil-Lusitanos.
