Downs, selected as the 11th overall pick in the April draft, has engaged in numerous one-on-one meetings with Parker to cover essential NFL concepts, including rule changes and offensive identification that differ from college football. Parker emphasized the importance of these sessions for young players to understand expectations and improve their techniques.

Downs, who previously played at Alabama and Ohio State, has been preparing for the challenges of the NFL, including practicing against notable receivers like CeeDee Lamb.
