Caleb Falconer Navigates Phishing Concerns to Secure Spot in The Hundred

Caleb Falconer, a Middlesex all-rounder, faced challenges in securing a contract for The Hundred due to phishing concerns while participating in the Under-19 World Cup in Zimbabwe and Namibia.

Without an agent and thousands of miles from home, Falconer decided to contact his father for assistance. His father, Stuart, temporarily took on the role of his unofficial representative, which led to verification issues with the England and Wales Cricket Board regarding their relationship.

After resolving the identity verification, Falconer was included in the auction, where Southern Brave ultimately won the bidding for £55,000. Although he has not yet played for Brave this season, he has been training with experienced players and hopes to make his debut in their final group match against Trent Rockets. Falconer aims to represent England in all formats of the game in the future.
