Caleb Williams Confirms Hamstring Tear, Status for Sunday Uncertain
Caleb Williams, the quarterback for the Bears, has confirmed that he suffered a hamstring tear and is uncertain about his availability for the upcoming game against the Falcons on Sunday.
This week, Williams participated in two full practices as he recovers from the injury sustained during a game on September 20. He has missed the last three games and mentioned that he needs to clear certain checkpoints and pass a stress test before he can return to play.
During his first media session since the injury, Williams described the moment he felt the injury occur while scrambling in the fourth quarter of a game against the Vikings. He clarified that he experienced a pop in his hamstring and disputed reports that labeled his injury as a Grade 2 strain, asserting it was a serious tear. He chose not to disclose the specific grade of the tear, citing previous misinformation.
