Caleb Williams Leads Bears to Victory Over Patriots
Caleb Williams passed for 308 yards and two touchdowns, helping the Chicago Bears secure a 30-24 victory over the New England Patriots on Thursday night in Chicago.
In his second game back from a hamstring injury, Williams completed 22 of 33 passes, marking the first time a Bears quarterback has thrown for over 300 yards in consecutive games since 2018. He faced off against Drake Maye, who was selected third overall by New England in the same draft as Williams.
Luther Burden contributed significantly with four receptions for 130 yards, while Cairo Santos kicked a franchise-record-tying 58-yard field goal. Maye completed 24 of 31 passes for 321 yards and two touchdowns but also threw an interception in the end zone. The game marked the Bears' first home match since the passing of Hall of Fame coach Mike Ditka.
