Caleb Williams Returns to Limited Practice, Status Uncertain for Game Against Packers
Caleb Williams, the quarterback for the Chicago Bears, returned to practice on a limited basis on Friday and is now listed as questionable for the game against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
Williams has been sidelined for the last two games due to a right hamstring injury sustained during a loss to the Minnesota Vikings on September 20. Although Bears coach Ben Johnson initially indicated that Williams would not play this weekend, his return to practice has created uncertainty regarding his availability.
The Bears, currently with a 3-1 record, have won both games in Williams' absence, with Case Keenum and Tyson Bagent stepping in as quarterbacks. Bagent is anticipated to start against the Packers if Williams cannot play. Additionally, the Bears have ruled out running back Kyle Monangai and linebacker Keyshaun Elliott due to injuries, while several other players, including Williams, remain questionable. The Packers have also reported injuries, ruling out running back Chris Brooks and wide receiver Savion Williams.
