Call for AMC Theatre in State College

A local cinephile has voiced a desire for an AMC Theatre to be established in State College, citing difficulties in accessing the latest movie releases. Currently, the only nearby option is The State Theatre, which primarily screens older films.

The closest AMC Theatre is located in Altoona, approximately 45 minutes away, making it inconvenient for students without cars. The writer notes that AMC's A-List subscription could provide an affordable way for students to enjoy new films regularly.

The appeal for an AMC is further emphasized by a recent experience where the local theater did not show all post-credits scenes for a popular film, leading to disappointment. The writer believes that an AMC would enhance entertainment options and contribute positively to the mental well-being of students in the area.
