Calvin Austin III's Injury Opens Door for Odell Beckham Jr. with Giants

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Austin was expected to play a key role as the team's slot receiver. In his absence, Braxton Berrios may step in as the Week 1 slot receiver. Prior to the injury, there were predictions that both Austin and Berrios would make the Giants' initial roster.

Odell Beckham Jr.'s future with the Giants appeared uncertain before Austin's injury, with some speculating he might not make the team. However, Beckham had a strong practice on Tuesday, catching four passes, which may improve his chances of securing a roster spot as the team prepares for their preseason finale against the New York Jets.
