Calvin Austin Injured During Giants Training Camp
Calvin Austin, a wide receiver for the New York Giants, was carted off the field during a training camp session on Tuesday after sustaining an injury to his right knee.
The 27-year-old had been performing well in camp and was expected to play a significant role in the offense. His injury comes at a time when the team's receiving corps is facing uncertainty, particularly with Malik Nabers recovering from a torn ACL and Odell Beckham Jr. competing for a roster spot.
Austin recently signed a $1.5 million contract with the Giants for the season, marking his first training camp with the team. In his previous three NFL seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers, he recorded 89 receptions for 1,140 yards and nine touchdowns across 51 games, including playoffs.
