Cam Skattebo Overcomes Injury to Return for Giants

Cam Skattebo, running back for the Giants, is preparing to return to the field in Week 1 after facing uncertainty about his career following a dislocated right ankle injury during his rookie season.

After sustaining the injury in the seventh game, Skattebo initially contemplated retiring from football, having set a personal rule to quit if he experienced a major injury. It took him about a month to regain the mental clarity needed to continue playing.

Once he committed to returning, Skattebo's rehabilitation progressed well, allowing him to participate in spring practices. His preseason went smoothly, and he is now focused on resuming his football career as the season approaches.
