Cameron Carr Makes Progress in Recovery from Injury
Lakers rookie Cameron Carr is showing improvement in his recovery from a strained right oblique. He participated in practice with the Coachella Valley Lakers, the team's G League affiliate, before being recalled to the NBA squad.
Having been sidelined since the preseason's first week, Carr missed three exhibition games and the first four regular season games, including a matchup against the Trail Blazers. Coach JJ Redick noted that while Carr completed a full practice, the team is mindful of his ramp-up process due to a busy schedule of five games in seven nights.
The Lakers face a challenging schedule, including back-to-back games against the Clippers and Warriors, limiting practice opportunities. Carr had a strong preseason debut, scoring 19 points against the Kings, and the team is focused on ensuring he is ready to return to play safely.
